This canopy is also treated with a weather resistant finish which enhances water repellency preventing the umbrella shade from molding or mildewing. The single wind vent located at the top of the umbrella is designed to facilitate airflow which prevents the umbrella from inverting in high winds. If used in conjunction with a table the 9 foot umbrella requires a 50 lb stand. A 70 lb. stand is needed when freestanding.
